No future without forgiveness, by Archbishop Desmond Tutu.

After apartheid (the policy of racial injustice) was abolished in South Africa, the new democratically elected president, Nelson Mandela, names Archbishop Desmond Tutu the chairman of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC).

South Africa’s Truth and Reconciliation Commission was the first of its kind in the world. The goal of the TRC was to expose the atrocities committed by the old South African apartheid government and achieve reconciliation with the former oppressors.

Archbishop Desmond Tutu was at the center of this process of healing the country.

In this book, Archbishop Desmond Tutu offers his reflections on the wisdom he has gained by helping the South African nation through this painful experience.
